New England Interior Designers

There’s a reason people fall in love with New England homes. Whether they’ve stood for centuries or were built just last year, the best ones feel rooted in place reflecting the lives unfolding inside. Over time, they become filled with warm memories of family dinners, summer weekends, holidays, and quiet mornings.

At The Red Shutters, we work with homeowners across New England to design interior and exterior spaces that feel comfortable and personal. Whether it’s a coastal retreat, a historic home, or a place your family has cherished for years, our goal is always the same: to help you create a home that feels like you.

A Comfortable, Collected Approach to Interior Design

New England interiors have a certain ease to them. They’re stylish, yet they feel layered and lived-in, like they’ve grown naturally over time rather than being assembled all at once.

That sense of balance is at the heart of how we design. We want your home to feel beautiful, but also completely comfortable. The kind of space where you instinctively sink into the sofa, where friends gather around the kitchen island without anyone planning it, and where you can take a quiet exhale at the end of the day.

We’re also known for our use of color, and we use it with intention – not to overwhelm, but to add warmth, personality, and depth. We believe color is what gives a room its personality.

At the end of the day, we’re interested in creating homes that feel good to live in and unmistakably yours.

A Design Process That Works for You

Working with an Interior designer shouldn’t feel overwhelming. At The Red Shutters, our process is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to each client.

Some projects come together quickly. Others unfold slowly over time. We’re comfortable with both. What matters most is that the pace feels right for you and your life.

We listen closely, respect what you already love, and guide decisions in a way that feels clear and manageable. Whether we’re working on one room or an entire house, we’ll help you create a home that feels natural, comfortable, and personal.
